8 Hr. Course Information & Schedule- Adults/Teens
OUR 8 HR. DRUG & ALCOHOL CLASS IS GIVEN ONLINE, USING ZOOM. PLEASE SIGN UP BY BOOKING THE NEXT AVAILABLE COURSE AND MAKING PAYMENT BELOW. THE STUDENT WILL NEED A CT LEARNER'S PERMIT OR PHOTO I.D., PENCIL/PEN & PAPER FOR NOTES, DESK OR LAPTOP COMPUTER, TABLET, OR CELL PHONE (WITH A CAMERA) @TIME OF CLASS.
The State of Connecticut requires all applicants applying for a driver's license, to attend an 8 Hr. Drug & Alcohol Safety Program, also known as, Safe Driving Practices Course, prior to taking the DMV Road Test. A teenager (16 & 17) is required to take a 2 hour Parent/Teen Class. We hold this class in addition to the 8 Hour course. Upon successful completion of this course, a CS-1#, electronic document (E-DEC) will be issued/documented with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
We offer this course on a Saturday/Sunday, 4hrs. each day, (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) for Adults/Teens. Attendance is required both days to complete the 8 hour course. However, the Teen and a Parent will need to attend a Parent class in addition.
The Parent Class for the teen (ages 16 & 17) is held on a weekday evening, (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) once a month. The dates and link to the Parent class can be found on the calendar of our Teen Course Page. A parent and teen must be present.
Sign-up (Book) and payment are required in advance,
You will need 1 of the following:
- Learners Permit
- Birth Certificate with a photo I.D.
- Passport
- Permanent Resident Card
And your payment of $125.00 (cash/debit only if payment is made at our office).
Due to limitations, we may cancel your booking after you signed up online, if payment is not made within 3 days of booking the course, to allow spots for other students wishing to sign up.

Students paying online will be sent an enrollment form to the payment email address. A completed enrollment form and a copy of a learners permit or a photo I.D. will need to be emailed back by 3 PM, FRIDAY (THE DAY PRIOR TO THE COURSE) or otherwise instructed. Paperwork must be received by 3 pm in our office, a day prior to the course, in order to complete students' registration. Check spam mail, if enrollment form hasn't been received.

On day /date of class below you are attending, click on "Join Zoom Meeting link" ...or... click on '+event details', copy down meeting I.D. #, go to Zoom and 'Join a meeting' , and then add meeting I.D. # , when prompted, you will be placed in a waiting room, the instructor will admit you.

SEAT IS NOT RESERVED UNTIL PAYMENT IS MADE. Payment must be made within 3 days of one's booking, or by 3 pm on the Wednesday prior to first class. IF THE COURSE IS FULL OR PAYMENT IS MADE AFTER 3 PM, THEN PAYMENT WILL BE CREDITED TO A FUTURE COURSE.
